Matsya Purana — Genealogy from Budha to Purūravas and Yayāti; Raji’s war episode; the Paurava...
यौवनेन चलान्कामान् युवा युवतिभिः सह विहर्तुम् अहमिच्छामि साहाय्यं कुरुतात्मजाः //
yauvanena calānkāmān yuvā yuvatibhiḥ saha vihartum ahamicchāmi sāhāyyaṃ kurutātmajāḥ //
Swayed by youth and its restless desires, I—still young—wish to sport and revel in the company of young women. O sons, assist me in this.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it focuses on human psychology—youthful restlessness (calāḥ kāmāḥ) and the wish for sensual recreation.
It highlights the tension between kama (desire) and responsible conduct: a ruler or householder is expected to regulate sensual impulses and avoid making dependents (here, “sons”) complicit in indulgence that can undermine dharma and reputation.
No Vastu, temple-architecture, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is a moral-narrative statement about desire and companionship.
