Matsya Purana — Genealogy from Budha to Purūravas and Yayāti; Raji’s war episode; the Paurava...
ययातेः पञ्च दायादास् तान्प्रवक्ष्यामि नामतः देवयानी यदुं पुत्रं तुर्वसुं चाप्यजीजनत् //
yayāteḥ pañca dāyādās tānpravakṣyāmi nāmataḥ devayānī yaduṃ putraṃ turvasuṃ cāpyajījanat //
Yayāti had five heirs; now I shall declare them by name. Devayānī gave birth to the sons Yadu and Turvasu.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it focuses on royal genealogy, specifically naming Yayāti’s heirs and stating that Devayānī bore Yadu and Turvasu.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of dharmic succession: naming legitimate heirs preserves orderly inheritance, lineage continuity, and social stability—key concerns for kingship and household governance.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; it is a genealogical identification within the Yayāti episode.
