यत्र साम्बं पुरस्कृत्य भविष्यति कथानकम् प्रोच्यते तत्पुनर्लोके साम्बमेतन्मुनिव्रताः //
yatra sāmbaṃ puraskṛtya bhaviṣyati kathānakam procyate tatpunarloke sāmbametanmunivratāḥ //
Wherever, placing Sāmba in the forefront, this forthcoming episode is recounted, there in the world again arise the fame and merit of this very “Sāmba”, O sages of holy vows.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it is a phalaśruti-style statement praising the spiritual and social fruit of recounting the Sāmba narrative.
It supports the dharma of śravaṇa and kīrtana—householders and rulers are encouraged to sponsor, preserve, and publicly hear sacred histories, thereby sustaining religious culture and earning renown and merit.
No Vāstu or temple rule is stated directly; the ritual takeaway is the efficacy of kathā-recitation itself—honoring the subject (puraskṛtya) and proclaiming it (procyate) as a meritorious act.
