Shloka 24

दशनागसहस्राणि हयानां द्विगुणं तथा । रथानामयुतं पूर्ण नियुतं च पदातिनाम्‌,परमतेजस्वी वृष्णिवंशशिरोमणि भगवान्‌ वासुदेव-के साथ दस हजार हाथी, उनसे दुगुने अर्थात्‌ बीस हजार घोड़े, दस हजार रथ और दस लाख पैदल सेना थी। इसके सिवा वृष्णि, अन्धक तथा भोजवंश-के और भी बहुत-से महापराक्रमी वीर उनके साथ पधारे थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

daśa nāga-sahasrāṇi hayānāṃ dviguṇaṃ tathā |

rathānām ayutaṃ pūrṇaṃ niyutaṃ ca padātinām ||

Vaiśampāyana said: With Vāsudeva—the supremely radiant crest-jewel of the Vṛṣṇi line—there came ten thousand elephants, twice as many horses, a full ten thousand chariots, and a niyuta of foot-soldiers. Along with him also arrived many other mighty heroes of the Vṛṣṇi, Andhaka, and Bhoja clans.
