Educational Q&A

True kingship is grounded in dharma: a ruler’s lasting ‘kīrti’ (good fame) arises from righteousness and becomes a quiet, life-giving influence—likened here to the gentle light of the rising sun.

Arjuna identifies Yudhiṣṭhira and publicly extols him as the foremost Kuru and ‘Dharmarāja,’ emphasizing that his reputation for righteousness is already firmly established throughout the world.
