Teacher-Reconciliation, Timing-Policy, and the Fault of Factionalism
मनसा चिन्तयामास प्रसादं पावकस्य च । सच तच्चिन्तितं ज्ञात्वा ध्वजे भूतान्यदेशयत्
manasā cintayāmāsa prasādaṃ pāvakasya ca | sa ca tac-cintitaṃ jñātvā dhvaje bhūtāny adeśayat ||
Vaiśampāyana said: He reflected in his mind upon the favor of Pāvaka (Agni). And, understanding what had been thus conceived, he directed the beings stationed upon the banner—setting them to act in accordance with that intention. The verse underscores the ethical force of inner resolve: a disciplined thought, aligned with a higher power, becomes effective action through rightly ordered instruments.
