Thus ends the chapter in the Virāṭa Parva of the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Goharaṇa episode, on the occasion of Uttara’s taking up the yoke (entering the chariot/undertaking the task), dealing with the description of weapons. The colophon highlights a shift from uncertainty to duty: when a task tied to protection and honor arises, one must assume responsibility with proper preparation—here symbolized by the formal presentation and understanding of weapons.
This is a concluding colophon stating that the chapter—set during the Goharaṇa (cattle-raid) context in the Virāṭa Parva—has finished, and that its subject matter was the description of weapons connected with Uttara’s taking up the chariot-duty/undertaking.
