Transliteration

na ciraṁ nihatas tasya saṅgrāme rathasārathiḥ | tena nāsti samaḥ sūto yo 'sya sārathyam ācaret ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “Not long ago, his charioteer was slain in battle. Therefore there is no charioteer of equal skill available who could properly take up the duty of driving his chariot.”
