Educational Q&A

Even great power should be guided by prudence and dharma: Bhīma proposes to use his extraordinary strength not for display or violence, but strategically in humble service, helping the Pandavas remain concealed while fulfilling their obligations during exile.

During the incognito year in Virāṭa’s kingdom, Bhīma explains his plan: he will perform impressively large tasks—work that seems superhuman—so that King Virāṭa will appoint him to a suitable role (notably in service such as the royal household), enabling the Pandavas to live safely in disguise.
