Dhaumya declares that Govinda is called the supreme purifier—one who sanctifies even what is already pure. He is the very essence of merit among meritorious acts and the highest auspiciousness among all auspicious things. In the three worlds he is the lotus-eyed, eternal God of gods.

Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that remembrance of Govinda (Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa) is the highest source of purification and auspiciousness: he is not merely pure, but the purifier of all purity, and the ultimate standard of merit and blessing.

Dhaumya speaks a hymn-like praise (stuti) identifying Govinda with supreme divine attributes—eternal, lotus-eyed, God of gods—thereby orienting the audience toward devotion and dharmic confidence through invocation of the highest protector.
