Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
लपेटिकां ततो गच्छेत् पुण्यां पुण्योपशोभिताम्
lapeṭikāṁ tato gacchet puṇyāṁ puṇyopaśobhitām
Pulastya said: “From there, one should proceed to Lapeṭikā, a sacred place—made all the more splendid by its own holiness.”
पुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes the dharmic value of pilgrimage: moving from one sacred site to another with reverence, recognizing that holiness (puṇya) itself is what makes a tīrtha spiritually radiant.
Pulastya is guiding a sequence of pilgrimage destinations, instructing the listener to go next from the current location to the sacred place called Lapeṭikā.
