Tīrtha-yātrā: Phalaśruti and Sacred Geography from Lohitya to Prayāga

Pulastya’s Instruction

Having reached the well called Kiṃdatta, one should give a prastha of sesame—about sixteen handfuls. O best of the Kurus, by doing so a man is freed from the three debts and attains the highest siddhi. And by bathing at Vedītīrtha, one gains merit equal to the gift of a thousand cows.
