Kāmyake Arjuna-viyogaḥ — The Pandavas’ despondency in Kāmyaka during Arjuna’s absence

ब्राह्मणैश्व महाभागैवेंदवेदाड़पारगै: | नित्यमन्वास्यसे राजंस्तत्र का परिदेवना,राजन! महान्‌ भाग्यशाली वेद-वेदांगोंके पारंगत विद्वान्‌ ब्राह्मण सदा तुम्हारे साथ रहते हैं; फिर तुम्हारे लिये इस परिस्थितिमें शोककी क्या बात है?

brāhmaṇaiś ca mahābhāgair vedavedāṅgapāragaiḥ | nityam anvāsyase rājan tatra kā paridevanā, rājan ||

Bṛhadaśva said: “O King, you are constantly attended by highly fortunate Brahmins—learned men who have mastered the Vedas and their auxiliary disciplines. In such a situation, what cause is there for lamentation for you, O King?”
