नलस्य बाहुकत्वेन ऋतुपर्णनगरप्रवेशः

Nala as Bāhuka enters Ṛtuparṇa’s city

पतिमन्वेषतीमेकां कृपणां शोककर्षिताम्‌ । आश्वासय मृगेन्द्रेह यदि दृष्टस्त्वया नल:,“मृगेन्द्र! मैं इस वनमें अकेली पतिकी खोजमें भटक रही हूँ तथा शोकसे पीड़ित एवं दीन हो रही हूँ। यदि आपने नलको यहाँ कहीं देखा हो तो उनका कुशल-समाचार बताकर मुझे आश्वासन दीजिये

Translation

O lord of beasts! Alone I wander this forest in search of my husband, wretched and worn down by grief. If you have seen Nala anywhere, tell me of his welfare and give me comfort.
