शरीरिणां हि मरणं शरीरे नित्यमाश्रितम्‌ । प्रागेव मरणात्‌ तस्माद्‌ राज्यायैव घटामहे,देहधारीकी मृत्यु सदा उसके शरीरमें ही निवास करती है, अतः मृत्युके पहले ही हमें राज्य-प्राप्तिके लिये चेष्टा करनी चाहिये

śarīriṇāṃ hi maraṇaṃ śarīre nityam āśritam | prāg eva maraṇāt tasmād rājyāyaiva ghaṭāmahe ||

Bhīmasena said: “For embodied beings, death is ever lodged within the body itself. Therefore, before death overtakes us, we must strive—indeed, strive only—for the attainment of the kingdom.”
