Iti prakāre Śrīmahābhārate Vanaparvake antargata Āraṇeyaparvaṇi Nakulādikānāṃ jīvita-bhavādīnāṃ varāṇāṃ prāpti-viṣayakaḥ trī-śata-caturdaśatamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ.

Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata’s Vana Parva, within the Āraṇeya section, the three-hundred-and-fourteenth chapter—concerning the obtaining of boons such as the restoration of life for Nakula and the others—comes to an end. The closing underscores the ethical weight of divine favor: life is regained not by force, but through rightful conduct and the granting of grace.

Educational Q&A

The colophon highlights that decisive outcomes—such as the return of life—are framed as the fruit of rightful conduct and divine sanction, not mere power. It points to dharma and grace as the governing principles behind restoration and protection.

This is a concluding statement marking the end of the 314th chapter within Vana Parva’s Āraṇeya section, summarizing that the chapter’s subject was the attainment of boons, including the revival (restoration of life) of Nakula and others.
