अस्तौषं तमहं देवं सत्येन वचसा विभुम् | पज्च वै तेन मे दत्ता वरा: शूणुत तान् मम,उस समय मैंने सत्यवचनोंद्वारा उन भगवान् यमकी स्तुति की। तब उन्होंने मुझे पाँच वर दिये। उन वरोंको आप मुझसे सुनिये
astauṣaṃ tam ahaṃ devaṃ satyena vacasā vibhum | pañca vai tena me dattā varāḥ śṛṇuta tān mama ||
Sāvitrī said: “With truthful words I praised that mighty god. Pleased, he granted me five boons. Now listen from me to what those boons were.”
