Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya

वैशम्पायन उवाच लब्ध्वा वरं तु कौन्तेयो जलादुत्तीर्य धर्मवित्‌ । जग्राह पादौ धौम्यस्य भ्रातृश्च॒ परिषस्वजे,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! पूर्वोक्त वर पाकर धर्मके ज्ञाता कुन्तीनन्दन युधिष्ठिर गंगाजीके जलसे बाहर निकले। उन्होंने धौम्यजीके दोनों चरण पकड़े और भाइयोंको हृदयसे लगा लिया

vaiśampāyana uvāca | labdhvā varaṃ tu kaunteyo jalād uttīrya dharmavit | jagrāha pādau dhaumyasyā bhrātṝṃś ca pariṣasvaje ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Having obtained the boon, the son of Kuntī—Yudhiṣṭhira, knower of dharma—came up out of the river-water. He clasped the feet of Dhaumya in reverence and embraced his brothers with heartfelt affection.
