Educational Q&A

The verse asserts a karmic linkage between disciplined observance (anuṣṭhāna) and its fruits: worldly success (victory and wealth), moral purification (freedom from sins), and a superior posthumous destination (Sūryaloka).

Vaiśampāyana, as narrator, concludes or reinforces a preceding instruction about a particular vow/rite by stating its promised results—triumph in warfare, prosperity, purification, and ascent to the Sun’s realm.
