Vaiśampāyana said: Having met with Draupadī, the lordly Pāṇḍava received her reverent salutations and greeted her with affection. Then, at that very time, Yudhiṣṭhira, son of Pāṇḍu, set about arranging the kitchen work, having the cooking pot placed upon the hearth.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in adversity, dharma expresses itself through orderly conduct, mutual respect, and fulfilling practical responsibilities—here, the leader’s readiness to manage sustenance and household needs without pride.
After Draupadī respectfully greets him, the Pāṇḍava (understood as Yudhiṣṭhira) turns immediately to arranging the cooking/kitchen work, having the pot set on the hearth so that food can be prepared.
