Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed

अवध्य: सर्वभूतानां मत्प्रसादात्‌ पुराभवत्‌ । कस्माच्चित्‌ कारणात्‌ पाप: कज्चित्‌ कालमुपेक्षित:,पूर्वकालमें मेरे ही प्रसादसे यह समस्त प्राणियोंके लिये अवध्य हो गया था। किसी कारणवश ही कुछ कालतक इस पापीकी उपेक्षा की गयी थी

avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ matprasādāt purābhavat | kasmāc cit kāraṇāt pāpaḥ kaścit kālam upekṣitaḥ ||

“Formerly, by my favor, he became invulnerable to all beings. Yet, for some particular reason, this sinner was tolerated—left unpunished—for a certain time.”
