Karṇa–Sūrya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dāna, and the Amoghā Śakti (कर्ण–सूर्यसंवादः)
करभारुणपाण्डूनां हरीणां युद्धशालिनाम् । कोटीशतसहस््रेण लड़कामभ्यपपत् तदा,तत्पश्चात् उन्होंने हथेलीके समान श्वेत और लाल रंगके युद्धकुशल वानरोंकी दस खरब सेनाके साथ लंकामें प्रवेश किया
karabhāruṇa-pāṇḍūnāṃ harīṇāṃ yuddha-śālinām | koṭi-śata-sahasreṇa laṅkām abhyapatat tadā ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: “Then he advanced upon Laṅkā with an immense host of battle-skilled monkeys—some pale, some tawny-red—numbering in the hundreds of thousands of crores.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical idea that strength becomes meaningful when organized and directed toward a righteous end: disciplined allies acting together in support of dharma can overcome even formidable strongholds.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes the advance on Laṅkā: a vast, war-capable host of monkeys—of pale and tawny hues—moves swiftly to enter/assail the city, marking a decisive escalation toward confrontation.
