विभीषणर्क्षाधिपती पुरस्कृत्याथ लक्ष्मण: । दक्षिणं नगरद्वारमवामृद्नाद् दुरासदम्,नगरके दक्षिण द्वारमें प्रवेश करना बहुत कठिन था, परंतु लक्ष्मणने विभीषण और जाम्बवानको आगे करके उसे भी धूलमें मिला दिया
vibhīṣaṇarkṣādhipatī puraskṛtyātha lakṣmaṇaḥ | dakṣiṇaṃ nagaradvāram avāmṛdnād durāsadam ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then Lakṣmaṇa, placing Vibhīṣaṇa and Jāmbavān, lord of the bears, in the forefront, crushed down the southern gate of the city—an approach otherwise exceedingly hard to assail.
