“Longing to behold you, I have come here by the path of the sky. The two royal princes, the brothers Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, are safe and well.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights reverent seeking of darśana (a meaningful audience) and the ethical value of conveying auspicious news—affirming the well-being of righteous figures as a source of reassurance and moral orientation.
Markandeya reports that he has arrived by an aerial route specifically to meet the listener, and he conveys that the royal brothers Rama and Lakshmana are doing well, linking the present conversation to the Ramayana-related narrative context.
