अनेकशततविस्तीर्ण योजनानां महोदधिम् | तिमिनक्रझषावासं चिन्तयन्त: सुदु:ःखिता:,“उस महासागरका विस्तार कई सौ योजनोंमें था। उसमें तिमि, मगर और बड़े-बड़े मत्स्य निवास करते थे। उसके इस स्वरूपका स्मरण करके हम सब लोग बहुत दुःखी हो गये
anekaśatatavistīrṇaṃ yojanānāṃ mahodadhim | timinakrajhaṣāvāsaṃ cintayantaḥ suduḥkhitāḥ |
“That great ocean stretched across many hundreds of yojanas. It was a dwelling-place of timi-whales, makaras, and huge fishes. Recalling that terrifying expanse and its creatures, we were all overwhelmed with deep sorrow.”
