Educational Q&A

Effective and righteous rule depends on trustworthy, capable advisors. The verse underscores the dharmic ideal that loyalty, wisdom, and competence in counsel sustain a leader’s mission.

Mārkaṇḍeya identifies key allies—Mainda, Dvivida, Hanumān, and Jāmbavān—as Sugrīva’s ministers, situating them as the inner circle supporting the Vānara king in the broader Rāma-related narrative.
