तेषां ध्वजाग्राण्यभिवी क्ष्य राजा स्वयं दुरात्मा नरपुज्गवानाम् | जयद्रथो याज्ञसेनीमुवाच रथे स्थितां भानुमतीं हतौजा:,उन नरश्रेष्ठ वीरोंकी ध्वजाओंके अग्रभागोंको देखकर हतोत्साह हुए दुरात्मा राजा जयद्रथने अपने रथपर बैठी हुई तेजस्विनी द्रौपदीसे स्वयं कहा--
Translation
Seeing the crests of the banners of those heroes, the foremost among men, King Jayadratha—evil-minded and with his spirit broken—spoke of his own accord to Yājñasenī, Draupadī, seated upon the chariot:
