Battle Formations and Countermeasures in the Rāmopākhyāna

Jayadratha said: “When Bhima, mace in hand, comes charging, and the two sons of Madri—Nakula and Sahadeva—fall upon you from every direction, spewing forth the poison of wrath born of wounded pride, then at the very sight of them you will be consumed for a long time in the fire of anguish.”
जयद्रथ उवाच
The verse underscores the ethical idea that wrongful acts invite inevitable consequences: arrogance and harm done to others return as fear, grief, and prolonged inner torment when justice (or retaliation) arrives.
Jayadratha foresees (or warns of) the Pandavas’ violent counterattack: Bhima charges with his mace while Nakula and Sahadeva assault from all sides, their rage portrayed as a poisonous force that will leave the opponent burning in anguish.
