मृगस्वप्नदर्शनम्

The Deer’s Dream-Appeal and the Move to Kāmyaka

एतावद्धि मया शक्‍यं संदेष्ठूं वै वृकोदर । वैताने कर्मणि तते वर्तमाने च भारत,“भरतनन्दन वृकोदर! इस समय मेरा यह यज्ञकर्म चालू है; अतः ऐसी स्थितिमें मैं तुम्हें इतना ही संदेश दे सकता हूँ”

etāvaddhi mayā śakyaṃ sandeṣṭuṃ vai vṛkodara | vaitāne karmaṇi tate vartamāne ca bhārata ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O Vṛkodara, this is all I am able to convey as a message. For the Vedic sacrificial rite is presently underway, O Bhārata, and in such a circumstance I can say no more.”
