Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “Nor will there be any base or uncivil conduct on our side there. And we shall not go to that place where the Pāṇḍavas have their refuge and residence.”
धृतराष्ट उवाच
The verse emphasizes restraint and adherence to civilized (ārya) conduct: even amid political tension, one should avoid ignoble behavior and refrain from actions that would provoke or violate the other party’s safe refuge.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra declares that his side will not behave basely and that they will not go to the place where the Pāṇḍavas are sheltered, signaling an intention to avoid direct intrusion into the Pāṇḍavas’ residence.
