चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas
यथोपदेशं नियता वर्तमाना वराड़ने,(अनुतिष्ठामि तत् सर्व नित्यकालमतन्द्रिता ।।) 'सुन्दरी! शास्त्रोंमें स्त्रियोंके लिये जिन कर्तव्योंका उपदेश किया गया है, उन सबका मैं नियमपूर्वक पालन करती हूँ। अपने अंगोंको वस्त्राभूषणोंसे विभूषित रखकर पूरी सावधानीके साथ मैं पतिके प्रिय एवं हित-साधनमें संलग्न रहती हूँ। मेरी सासने अपने परिवारके लोगोंके साथ बर्तावमें लानेयोग्य जो धर्म पहले मुझे बताये थे, उन सबका मैं निरन्तर आलस्यरहित होकर पालन करती हूँ
yathopadeśaṁ niyatā vartamānā varāṅgane, anutiṣṭhāmi tat sarvaṁ nityakālam atandritā.
Vaiśampāyana said: “O fair-limbed lady, I live in disciplined accordance with the instructions given in the śāstras. I carry out, at all times and without negligence, every duty enjoined for women—keeping my body adorned with garments and ornaments, remaining carefully engaged in what is pleasing and beneficial to my husband. Whatever codes of conduct my mother-in-law earlier taught me for proper dealings with the members of the household, I continually observe them, free from sloth.”
