अभिद्रवत भद्रं वो मया सह महासुरान् । शक्रस्य वचन श्रुत्वा समा श्वस्ता दिवौकस:,तदनन्तर बलासुरविनाशक देवराज इन्द्रने अपनी उस सेनाको दानवोंसे पीड़ित होकर भागती देख उसे आश्वासन देते हुए कहा--'शूरवीरो! भय त्याग दो, इससे तुम्हारा मंगल होगा। हथियार उठाओ और पराक्रममें मन लगाओ। तुम्हें किसी प्रकार व्यथित नहीं होना चाहिये। इन भयंकर दिखायी देनेवाले दुराचारी दानवोंको जीतो। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। तुम सब लोग मेरे साथ इन महाकाय दैत्योंपर टूट पड़ो।' इन्द्रकी यह बात सुनकर देवताओंको बड़ी सान्त्वना मिली
abhidravata bhadraṃ vo mayā saha mahāsurān | śakrasya vacanaṃ śrutvā samāśvastā divaukasaḥ ||
Markandeya said: “Charge, for your welfare, together with me against those mighty Asuras.” Hearing Śakra’s words, the gods (the dwellers of heaven) became reassured.
