स हत्वा दानवगणान्‌ पूज्यमानो महर्षिभि: । एकाह्लैवाजयत्‌ सर्व त्रैलोक्य वल्विनन्दन:,अग्निनन्दन स्कन्दने सब दानवोंको मारकर महर्षियोंसे पूजित हो एक ही दिनमें समूची त्रिलोकीको जीत लिया

sa hatvā dānavagaṇān pūjyamāno maharṣibhiḥ | ekāhenaivājayat sarvaṃ trailokyaṃ valvinandanaḥ ||

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having slain the hosts of Dānavas, and being honored by the great seers, Valvi’s son—Skanda, the son of Agni—conquered the entire threefold world in a single day.
