Yudhiṣṭhira said: “You are Agni, first brought forth by Brahmā as the dispeller of darkness. O deity who drives away gloom, return at once to your own proper station and quickly thrust back the darkness.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse frames Agni as a divinely appointed force that restores order by dispelling darkness; ethically, it reflects reliance on rightful cosmic functions—each being returning to its proper role (sva-sthāna) to uphold dharma.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Agni directly, praising him as Brahmā’s first creation and urging him to resume his own station and remove the surrounding darkness—spoken as an invocation meant to restore clarity and auspicious order.
