ऋषिरुवाच नान्यथा भविता शाप एवमेतदसंशयम् | आनृशंस्यात् त्वहं किज्चित् कर्तनुग्रहमद्य ते,ऋषिने कहा--यह शाप टल नहीं सकता। ऐसा होकर ही रहेगा, इसमें संशय नहीं है। परंतु मेरा स्वभाव क्रूर नहीं है, इसलिये मैं तुझपर आज कुछ अनुग्रह करता हूँ
Transliteration
ṛṣir uvāca nānyathā bhavitā śāpa evam etad asaṁśayam | ānṛśaṁsyāt tv ahaṁ kiñcit kartānugraham adya te ||
Translation
The sage said: “It cannot turn out otherwise—this curse will surely take effect; of this there is no doubt. Yet, because I am not by nature cruel and act from compassion, I will grant you some favor today.”
