Dvārakā’s Distress and the Saubha Engagement (द्वारकाव्यग्रता तथा सौभयुद्धम्)
ततो ममासीन्मनसि मायेयमिति निश्चितम् । प्रबुद्धोडस्मि ततो भूय: शतशो<5वाकिरं शरान्,तब मेरे मनमें यह निश्चय हो गया कि यह वास्तवमें माया ही थी। तब मैंने सजग होकर सैकड़ों बाणोंकी वर्षा प्रारम्भ की
tato mamāsīn manasi māyeyam iti niścitam | prabuddho 'smi tato bhūyaḥ śataśo 'vakiraṃ śarān |
Then it became firmly settled in my mind: “This is indeed an illusion (māyā).” Thereafter, fully alert once more, I began again to shower hundreds of arrows.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse emphasizes viveka (discernment): once deception is recognized as māyā, one should regain clarity and act with steady vigilance rather than remain confused or reactive.
Vāyudeva says he realized the situation was an illusion; becoming fully alert, he resumed the fight and began raining down hundreds of arrows.
