गुरुशुश्रूषणं सत्यमक्रोधो दानमेव च । एतच्चतुष्टयं ब्रह्मन्‌ शिष्टाचारेषु नित्यदा,ब्रह्मन! शिष्टाचारी पुरुषोंमें गुरुकी सेवा, सत्य-भाषण, क्रोधका अभाव तथा दान-ये चार सदगुण सदा रहते हैं

Transliteration

guruśuśrūṣaṇaṁ satyam akrodho dānam eva ca | etac catuṣṭayaṁ brahman śiṣṭācāreṣu nityadā ||

Translation

The hunter said: “Reverent service to one’s teacher, truthfulness, freedom from anger, and generosity—these four virtues, O Brahmin, are found constantly in those who live by the conduct of the cultured and disciplined.”
