मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction

धुन्धोर्वधात्‌ तदा राजा कुवलाश्वो महामना:

dhundhor vadhāt tadā rājā kuvalāśvo mahāmanāḥ

Mārkaṇḍeya said: “After the slaying of Dhundhu, the noble-minded king Kuvalāśva was celebrated and honored; his fame rose in accordance with his righteous deed of protecting the world from a destructive menace.”
