Guṇa-vibhāga and Prāṇa–Agni–Yoga Upadeśa (गुणविभाग तथा प्राण-अग्नि-योगोपदेश)
तेन राजन् न शक््नोमि तस्मिन् स्थातुं स्व आश्रमे । तं विनाशय राजेन्द्र लोकानां हितकाम्यया,राजन्! इस कारण मेरा अपने आश्रममें रहना कठिन हो गया है। महाराज! सब लोगोंके हितके लिये आप उस राक्षसको नष्ट कीजिये
tena rājan na śaknomi tasmin sthātuṃ sva āśrame | taṃ vināśaya rājendra lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā ||
Therefore, O King, I am unable to remain in my own hermitage. O best of kings, for the welfare of all people, destroy that rākṣasa.
उत्तड़क उवाच
A king’s dharma includes protecting society and ensuring public welfare; when violence threatens the innocent and disrupts sacred life, the ruler is urged to remove the threat for lokahita (the good of all).
Uttanka tells the king that due to a rākṣasa’s menace he cannot remain in his own hermitage, and he petitions the king to destroy the demon for the benefit of the people.
