उत्तङ्कोपाख्यानप्रारम्भः — Uttanka’s Tapas, Viṣṇu-stuti, and the Dhundhumāra Prophecy

जपयज्ञपरा विप्रा धर्मकामा मुदा युता: । पालयिष्यन्ति राजानो धर्मेणेमां वसुन्धराम्‌,ब्राह्मण प्रसन्नतापूर्वक जपयज्ञमें तत्पर रहेंगे और धर्ममें ही उनकी रुचि होगी। क्षत्रियनरेश धर्मपूर्वक इस पृथ्वीका पालन करेंगे

Transliteration

japayajñaparā viprā dharmakāmā mudā yutāḥ | pālayiṣyanti rājāno dharmeṇemāṃ vasundharām ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya said: “Brahmins, devoted to the disciplines of japa and sacrifice, rejoicing and intent upon dharma, will flourish. And kings will govern this earth in accordance with dharma, protecting it through righteous rule.”
