Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
ततस्ते जलदा घोरा राविण: पुरुषर्षभ । सर्वतः प्लावयन्त्याशु चोदिता: परमेछ्िना,पुरुषरत्न! तदनन्तर विधातासे प्रेरित हो गर्जन-तर्जन करनेवाले वे भयंकर मेघ शीघ्र सब ओर वर्षा करके सबको जलसे आप्लावित कर देते हैं
tataste jaladā ghorā rāviṇaḥ puruṣarṣabha | sarvataḥ plāvayantyāśu coditāḥ parameśṭhinā ||
Then, O bull among men, those dreadful rain-clouds, roaring with thunder—set in motion by the Creator—quickly poured down rain on every side and flooded everything.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights divine or cosmic agency: when the Creator’s will operates, natural forces can become irresistible, reminding humans of humility before dharma-ordered reality and the limits of personal power.
Vaiśampāyana describes terrifying, thunderous clouds that, driven by Parameṣṭhin (Brahmā), rapidly rain everywhere and inundate the surroundings, creating a scene of overwhelming flood.
