Vaiśampāyana said: “O Blessed Lord, entering your body through the path of your mouth, I beheld within your belly the entire world—everything, in its totality, without remainder.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse conveys a theophanic insight: the Lord is not merely a distant ruler but the very locus in which the whole cosmos is contained. Ethically, it supports reverence and humility—recognizing that all beings and all phenomena rest within a higher, all-encompassing reality.
The speaker reports a wondrous experience: by entering the Lord’s body through the mouth, he witnesses within the Lord’s belly the totality of worldly existence. The statement functions as testimony to the Lord’s cosmic form and limitless power.
