Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
गदासिचर्मग्रहणेषु शूरा- नस्त्रेषु शिक्षासु रथाश्वयाने । सम्यग् विनेता विनयत्यतन्तद्र- स्तांश्वाभिमन्यु: सततं कुमार:,'शिक्षा देनेमें नीेपूण और आलस्यरहित कुमार अभिमन्यु तुम्हारे शूर-वीर पुत्रोंको गदा और ढाल-तलवारके दाँव-पेंच सिखाते हैं। अन्यान्य अस्त्रोंकी भी शिक्षा देते हैं। साथ ही रथ चलाने और घोड़े हाँकनेकी कला भी सिखाते हैं। वे सदा उनकी शिक्षा-दीक्षामें संलग्न रहते हैं
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
gadāsicarmagrahaṇeṣu śūrāḥ astreṣu śikṣāsu rathāśvayāne |
samyag vinītā vinayaty atandras tāñ śvābhimanyuḥ satataṃ kumāraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: The young prince Abhimanyu—well-trained himself and never indolent—constantly applies himself to disciplining and instructing your valiant sons. He teaches them the handling of mace, sword, and shield, trains them in the practice of other weapons, and also instructs them in driving chariots and managing horses. Thus he remains continually engaged in their education and formation.
