Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
yathā tvam evārhasi teṣu vṛttaṁ prayoktum āryā ca tathaiva kuntī | teṣv apramādena tathā karoti tathaiva bhūyaś ca tathā subhadrā ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “Just as you are fit to instill proper conduct in those boys, so too is the noble Kuntī fit to do the same. And Subhadrā likewise—acting with vigilant care—trains them in that very discipline again and again, establishing all of them firmly in good conduct.”
Dharma is preserved through careful, consistent moral training: those responsible for children must impart right conduct (vṛtta) with apramāda—vigilant, non-negligent attention—so that good habits become firmly established.
Vaiśampāyana remarks that, just as one woman addressed is capable of guiding the boys in proper conduct, Kuntī is equally qualified, and Subhadrā too repeatedly and carefully instructs them, ensuring they are grounded in ethical behavior.
