अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights duty-bound action: Arjuna completes a divinely sanctioned task (removing destructive forces) without attachment to spoils, then returns to report to rightful authority (Indra), reflecting disciplined conduct aligned with dharma.
Arjuna recounts that after defeating the Dānava hosts—Nivātakavacas, and also the Paulomas and Kālakeyas—he leaves their ruined stronghold Hiraṇyapura as it stands and proceeds to Indra (Śakra).
