Kailāsa-darśana, Badarī-vāsa, and Sarasvatī–Dvaitavana Transition (कैलासदर्शन–बदरीवास–सरस्वतीद्वैतवनगमनम्)
देवराजस्य भवनं कृतकर्माणमाहवात् मेरे मनमें तो हर्ष और उत्साह भरा हुआ था। मैंने देवताओंका कार्य पूरा कर दिया था। अतः मातलि उस रणभूमिसे मुझे शीघ्र ही देवराज इन्द्रके भवनमें ले आये
Arjuna uvāca: devarājasya bhavanaṃ kṛtakarmāṇam āhavāt; mama manasi tu harṣa-utsāhaḥ pūrṇaḥ āsīt. mayā devatānāṃ kāryaṃ samāpāditam āsīt. ataḥ Mātaliḥ tasmād raṇabhūmeḥ māṃ śīghram eva devarāja-indrasya bhavane ānayat.
Arjuna said: “After accomplishing the task in battle, I was filled with joy and renewed courage. I had fulfilled the work entrusted by the gods; therefore Mātali quickly brought me from that battlefield to the palace of Indra, the king of the gods.”
अजुन उवाच
The passage highlights dharma as faithful completion of an entrusted duty: when a righteous task is fulfilled—especially one undertaken for a higher cause—inner joy and renewed vigor arise, and rightful honor follows without being the primary motive.
Arjuna reports that after finishing the gods’ work in battle, he feels elated and energized. Indra’s charioteer Mātali then swiftly takes him from the battlefield to Indra’s palace.
