Kubera-prasāda-vihāra and Counsel on Ajñātavāsa (कुबेरप्रसादविहारः तथा अज्ञातवासोपदेशः)
कालस्य परिणामेन ततस्त्वमिह भारत एषामन्तकर: प्राप्तस्तत् त्वया च कृतं तथा,भारत! समयके फेरसे ही तुम इनका विनाश करनेके लिये यहाँ आ पहुँचे हो और तुमने जैसा दैवका विधान था, उसके अनुसार इनका संहार कर डाला है
kālasya pariṇāmena tatas tvam iha bhārata eṣām antakaraḥ prāptas tat tvayā ca kṛtaṃ tathā
Arjuna said: “By the ripening of Time’s course, O Bhārata, you have come here as the appointed bringer of their end; and you have acted accordingly—carrying out their destruction in the very manner ordained by destiny.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse frames destruction as the ripened consequence of Kāla (Time) and destiny: an individual becomes an instrument through which an inevitable cosmic outcome is fulfilled, raising the ethical tension between personal agency and ordained necessity.
Arjuna addresses a Kuru prince (“Bhārata”), stating that due to Time’s unfolding he has arrived as the agent of others’ end and has carried out their destruction in accordance with what was destined.
