Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
तदेकायनमासाद्य विषमं भीमदर्शनम् | बहुतालोच्छूयं शूद्धमारुरोह महाबल:,वह पर्वत ऊँची-नीची भूमियोंसे युक्त और देखनेमें भयंकर था। उसकी ऊँचाई कई ताड़ोंके बराबर थी और उसपर चढ़नेके लिये एक ही मार्ग था, तो भी महाबली भीमसेन उसके शिखरपर चढ़ गये
tad ekāyanam āsādya viṣamaṃ bhīmadarśanam | bahutālocchūyaṃ śuddham āruroha mahābalaḥ ||
Reaching that single, narrow approach, Bhīma—mighty in strength—climbed the steep, formidable height, dreadful to behold. The mountain’s ascent was uneven and terrifying, rising to the measure of many palm-trees; yet, though it offered only one difficult path upward, Bhīmasena still mounted to its summit, embodying resolute courage in the face of peril.
