Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
त॑ मृगेन्द्रमिवायान्तं प्रभिन्नमिव वारणम् | ददृशु: सर्वभूतानि बाणकार्मुकधारिणम्,मदवर्षी कुंजर और मृगराजकी भाँति आते हुए धनुष-बाणधारी भीमसेनको उस समय सब भूतोंने देखा
taṁ mṛgendram ivāyāntaṁ prabhinnam iva vāraṇam | dadṛśuḥ sarvabhūtāni bāṇa-kārmuka-dhāriṇam ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then all beings beheld Bhīmasena approaching—like a lordly lion, like a rut-maddened elephant—bearing bow and arrows. The scene shows how righteous strength, when turned toward a just end, becomes awe-inspiring to the whole world.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical dimension of strength: when a powerful warrior acts with rightful intent, his presence inspires awe and signals protection and resolve rather than mere violence.
Bhīmasena is seen approaching with bow and arrows; his advance is compared to a lion and a rut-maddened elephant, emphasizing his formidable energy and readiness for action.
