तमनादृत्य पद्मानि जिहीर्षसि बलादृत: । धर्मराजस्य चात्मानं ब्रवीषि भ्रातरं कथम्‌,भीमसेन! तुम अपने बलके घमंडमें आकर कुबेरकी अवहेलना करके यहाँसे कमलपुष्पोंका अपहरण करना चाहते हो। ऐसी दशामें अपने-आपको धर्मराजका भाई कैसे बता रहे हो?

tam anādṛtya padmāni jihīrṣasi balādṛtaḥ | dharmarājasya cātmānaṁ bravīṣi bhrātaraṁ katham ||

“Disregarding him, and puffed up with the pride of your strength, you wish to seize these lotus-flowers by force. In such a state, how can you call yourself the brother of Dharmarāja?”
